devotions...

(From day one in our relationship, we always read our Bible together via the phone, we'd pick out a Section of the bible and read a whole chapter, splitting up the verses) We've been reading all of the infertile couple stories in the Bible. I ordered some new devo books and I can't wait till we get them delivered in less that a week!! More things to read together!!

Christmas

I cannot wait for Christmas, only 22 days away. I hope and pray this is the best Christmas ever! My sister and brother in law and baby nephew are flying and coming to spend Christmas with us. I cannot wait to see them, especially spend time with the baby!!

We are going to go road tripping around California, probably see San Fran, Big Sur, Sequoia National Park and LA. I cannot wait. It's very possible for it to be snowing or have snowed in the redwoods!!! (there's a 50% chance of snow on Thrusday and we'll be going the weekend after Christmas. So I may get my white Christmas this year, belated of course, but i'm hoping that we get to see some snow, we'll have to bundled all up!!! :)

I am looking forward to Christmas, it's one of my fave times of years and I'm so thrilled we have a real Christmas tree and we're having company!!

I hope this Christmas is the best Christmas ever and we get the greatest gift of all that we want!!

Traditions

The Saturday after Thanksgiving is our new family tradition of "tree day" the day we go pick out our tree. This was my first year having a real tree!! I was so psyched to go pick out a tree and have the smell of a real tree in our home! We went to Home Depot and looked through almost every Noble Fir there, we had to find the perfect one. Finally, we found one that we both loved. (The tree cost more than we were expecting but we wanted a Noble instead of a Douglas, and we thought it was worth it)

We set up the stand and unraveled the tree, then strung the lights and put on the ornaments. Our theme/color scheme is golds, pearls, stars, and oranges. Our tree looks really beautiful. I like it.

Thanksgiving

Yesterday, thankfully Simon was off work for thanksgiving. We spent most of the morning cooking and getting everything ready for our feast...I made a turkey, eggplant souffle, mashed potatoes, green bean casserole, carrots, gravy. It was so yummy!!!! It was my first time baking/cooking a thanksgiving feast!! It was delicious!!! We missed out families, but it was fun just being the two of us!!

Know & Tell Friday

1. What makes you crazy? people who do not know who to drive!
2. Best brand of jeans? I have the HARDEST time finding jeans that fit me, I'm so short usually all the jeans are too long!!! So no fave...have yet to find the best brand...
3. What do you do on rainy days? Take a nap! The rain makes me tired!!

Simon's vacay

Simon's off starting tomorrow till Tuesday and I'm sooo esctatic and stoked and happy!!!!!!

We have plans to go down to SoCal for a mini-vacay but with these CA fires everywhere down in Ventura County, LA, Orange County our tripped may be cancelled and postponed to a later day. So i won't be to disappointed if we have to cancel, i'd rather be safe than sorry. We'd have to cancel on Friday. I heard the fires won't be contained till next week because they are soo large and the winds are soo strong spreading it.

We were planning on meeting up with one of my friends i haven't seen in 3 years- going out to dinner and Disneyland. Si was going to take me to San Clemente and show me where he lived when we "meet". If our vacay gets cancelled i think we're gonna head over to bakersfield and go to pf changs, since we were going to go there in So Cal!! yum i can taste it already!! :) i can't wait to eat pf changs.

Hopefully tomorrow and Friday we'll spend straightening and cleaning up around here since that needs to be done as well.

BLOG!!!

So i decided to make my blogs separate, have a special one for fertility and this one for updates on us!

Update on me....nothing much is going on here...i work for my mom part-time doing medical transcription and i'm working on setting up my photo site, business cards and portfolio.

Simon's been working like crazy the past few weeks, working till 2am each night. Poor guy. It was rough, but he's on to the next project/movie! So that's good!!

We attend the baptist church down the street. We like it there! Hopefully soon we'll make friends with another couple!

Hopefully we'll have answers to prayers soon, with Simon's job, if the studio gets more projects after this one. And we're praying hard for a staff position and a raise for him!!! Seems that he does deserve both....he seems to know soo much info that saves things and stuff. And supposedly, not to brag but he's one of the best lighters they have. Which is exciting!! :) Go hubby!! So hopefully that and him willing to help and stay late to get things done, show the studio that he deserves a staff position and a raise.
